Glo is a retail boutique that sells Himalayan Salt products. The glow of the salt wall in the Winslow Spa (located in the same building as the boutique) was the inspiration for the space along with the industrial Ford building they are both located in. To design with these key features in mind I wanted to combine the cold hard industrial feel and the warm soft glow of the salt lamps. To incorporate both styles the boutique is designed with a lot of warm woods, colors, materials, and light along with cool metals, marble, and concrete to contrast. Glo is a comfortable space that is easy to navigate when browsing products while also being a relaxing shopping experience that gives everyone who enters the boutique a moment to breathe during the hustle and bustle of their busy day.
